No 4 Stanford vs No 13 Georgia

Woke up this morning to the simulation of the Stanford Georgia game. Under perfect skies in Palo Alto, California, Georgia roared back from a first half deficit and ran away (literally) with the game. Early on, it was all Stanford. After a misseed extra point kick from Georgia on their opening possession, Stanford score three straight possessions to take a 13-6 lead at half time. It all appeared that Mark Richt had lost control of his team's ability to win the big game. After a stopping Stepfan Taylor on 3rd and short, Georgia wasted no time unleashing half of it's two headed North Carolinian monster at running back. The next three drives ended in Keith Marshall Touchdowns (57, 25 and 75 yards, respectively). Stanford was able to answer with a Stepfan Taylor TD and field goal of their own bringing the tally to 27-23 in favor of UGA. Aaron Murray, got his team to make one last time melting drive and Morgan kicked the game clinching 48 yard field goal with just over a minute to go. Two Jarvis Jones sacks later, and Richt and Company were able to head back east with a big win. Our first higher ranked seed goes down.

Final: UGA 30 - Stanford 23

Key Stats

- Georgia's North Carolina Running Backs combined for 278 total yards and 4 touchdowns
- Georgia's TOP was 39:22, woah
- Georgia was 12-16 on third down

UGA gets the winner of FSU vs. Arkansas up next and will have to go on the road regardless of the victor.
